PROSTOS
The Prospective Spine Treatment Outcomes Study is intended to evaluate different surgical and non-surgical techniques to learn which spine treatment options provide the best outcomes for patients with lumbar spine problems. The study is being conducted by 15-20 centers in the country in order to collect a large amount of data to further the knowledge of spine treatments.
SURGICAL DECISION MAKING STUDY
The physicians at SpineCare work together to determine the best surgical plan for each patient. The attending physician presents each case to his peers with a surgical plan in mind. If there is a disagreement in the group, a discussion occurs until a consensus is reached. The Surgical Decision Making Study has evaluated the changes that are made as a result of this collaboration. To see a recently submitted abstract on this study, visit the Research Summaries. |
